“I can help rebuild collagen. I can’t rebuild it faster than the sun takes it.”
— Rocco C. Piazza, MD, FACS

Dynamic Age Defense SPF is a treatment, moisturizer and sunscreen in one — broad spectrum SPF 30, 100% mineral, PA++++, with UVA, UVB and visible light protection.
The two problems this actually solves
1. It is transparent on all skin tones. The reason most people abandon mineral sunscreen is the white cast — and the darker your skin, the worse that trade-off gets. A zinc sunscreen that leaves a grey film is a sunscreen that lives in the cabinet. Pavise builds this one on DiamondCore® Shield Technology specifically to sit transparent across the tone range. The best sunscreen is the one you will actually wear every morning.
2. It protects against visible light, not just UV. Standard SPF numbers only describe UVB. But visible light — including the light coming off your screen and the light that gets through on an overcast day — is implicated in pigmentation, particularly melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in deeper skin tones. If you are fighting dark spots and your sunscreen only covers UV, you are defending part of the field.
Why The Piazza Center carries it
The Piazza Center is a board-certified plastic surgery practice in Austin, Texas, led by Dr. Rocco Piazza, MD, FACS. After resurfacing, sun exposure in the months that follow is the fastest way to undo the result you paid for, and it is the main driver of post-inflammatory pigmentation. Daily mineral SPF is not an upsell in that window. It is the part of the protocol that protects everything else.
This is the sunscreen we send patients home with, and the one we pair with Pavise Gentle Amino Powerwash — which removes it in a single wash rather than requiring a second round of surfactant at night.
What is in it
- 100% true mineral sunscreen with DiamondCore® Shield Technology
- Niacinamide — supports the barrier, eases redness
- Tranexamic acid — targets the appearance of discoloration
- Pycnogenol and Silymarin — antioxidant photoaging defense
Transparent on all skin tones. Developed with dermatologists and medical oncologists.
How to use
- Apply every morning as the final step, after your serum
- Use enough — a thin layer does not deliver the labeled SPF
- Reapply through prolonged sun exposure
- Remove at night with Pavise Gentle Amino Powerwash
In our laser recovery protocol, SPF joins from day three onward. Confirm your own timing at your post-op visit.
What is in the bottle

Frequently asked questions
When will my pre-order ship?
Our first Pavise shipment arrives September 14. Pre-orders ship first, in the order they were placed, and you will get tracking by email the day yours goes out.
Does it leave a white cast?
No — it is formulated to be transparent across skin tones, which is the whole point of the DiamondCore® Shield approach. That is the difference between a mineral sunscreen you own and one you wear.
Why does visible light protection matter?
The SPF number on a bottle describes UVB only. Visible light contributes to pigmentation, and it is especially relevant if you are treating melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Covering it is a meaningful upgrade over a standard SPF.
Is SPF 30 enough?
SPF 30 applied generously every day outperforms an SPF 50 used sparingly and skipped. Consistency and quantity move the needle more than the number does. For prolonged direct sun, reapply.
When can I restart sunscreen after a laser treatment?
In our protocol SPF comes in on day three. Freshly resurfaced skin cannot take product immediately, so your care team will confirm the timing for your treatment depth.
Is it a moisturizer too?
Yes — Pavise positions it as treatment, moisturizer and sunscreen in one, so for many people it replaces two morning steps.

Sun protection behaviours, including seeking shade and protective clothing, matter alongside sunscreen.
