Relief for Severely Dry, Irritated Skin — ZO® Hydrating Crème
The ZO® Skin Health Hydrating Crème is a rich, occlusive moisturizer built for skin that has gone past ordinary dryness — tight, flaking, visibly red, and reactive to products it used to tolerate. It temporarily relieves the symptoms of severely dry skin while calming the look of irritation and replenishing the moisture the barrier has lost.
Please note: we no longer carry the ZO Skin Health line. This is final remaining stock, offered at 30% off, and will not be restocked once sold.
✨ Key Benefits:
- Temporarily relieves the symptoms of severely dry skin
- Calms the appearance of irritation and visible redness
- Replenishes the skin's natural moisture to support recovery
- With continued use, skin looks smoother, more hydrated and less red
- Rich enough for overnight repair, comfortable enough for daytime
How to Use: Apply to clean, dry skin in the morning or evening, as needed. Use as the final step in your routine, over any serums or treatments.
Size: 4 oz. / 113 g
Why a Heavier Crème Sometimes Beats More Actives
When skin is dry to the point of stinging, the instinct is often to add another hydrating serum. That rarely works, because the problem is not a shortage of water — it is that the barrier has lost the lipid layer that holds water in, so whatever you apply evaporates within the hour. An occlusive crème built on petrolatum and shea butter physically seals the surface so the skin can rebuild. The peptides and antioxidants in this formula are the long game; the occlusion is what makes the difference by tomorrow morning.
Key Ingredients
- Colloidal Oatmeal — a recognized skin protectant that soothes the look of irritation and itch.
- ZOX¹²® Antioxidant Complex — ZO's proprietary blend of vitamins A, C and E.
- Myristoyl Pentapeptide-11 — a peptide that supports the look of skin resilience.
- Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract — a botanical that supports hydration and helps calm visible redness.
- Petrolatum, Shea Butter, Glycerin and Beta-Glucan — the occlusive and humectant base that holds moisture in place.
Who It's For
A strong fit if your skin is normal-to-dry or has become sensitized, if winter or air travel leaves you flaking, or if a course of retinoids or in-office resurfacing has pushed your barrier past where it is comfortable. It is a useful product to have waiting at home before a peel or laser treatment, not after you already need it.
How to Work It Into Your Routine
Apply it last, over everything else, on skin that is still slightly damp — an occlusive works by sealing in what is already there, so putting it on bone-dry skin wastes half its value. If you are using it to recover a compromised barrier, drop your actives entirely for a week and use this alone morning and night; most skin settles within days. Once you are comfortable again, reintroduce one active at a time.
